Celebrating Our Volunteers: Second-Hand Prose Mingle

On a recent sunny afternoon, the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library hosted a special Second-Hand Prose Volunteer Mingle—a chance to gather, celebrate, and say thank you to the incredible individuals who help make our bookstore such a beloved part of the library community.

From organizing donations and arranging shelves to helping customers find their next favorite read, our volunteers are the heart of Second-Hand Prose. This casual get-together was an opportunity to recognize their time, energy, and unwavering commitment.

Attendees enjoyed light refreshments, great conversations, and a few shared laughs about bookstore adventures past and present. It was also a perfect moment to introduce new volunteers and show them what it means to be part of the team.

Whether you’ve been volunteering for years or are just curious about getting involved, there’s always a place for you at Second-Hand Prose. Stop by the bookstore or reach out—we’d love to connect.

Together, we make a difference for our library and our community.
