On the evening of June 15th, the Georgetown Public Library came alive with music as Deer Fellows, an Austin-based indie-folk-pop duo, filled the library with their rich harmonies and heartfelt sound. This unique performance was part of the library’s live music series—and proudly sponsored by us, the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library.
The event drew a full crowd of music lovers, families, and curious first-timers, all enjoying the rare treat of a professional concert in the cozy and familiar setting of the library. Deer Fellows’ blend of acoustic guitar, violin, and vocals created an intimate and inspiring atmosphere that left many audience members smiling and swaying along.
As Friends, our mission is to support the library through programming, community engagement, and cultural enrichment—and events like this are a perfect example of what that support looks like in action. From funding to volunteering, our members make moments like this possible.
